My Outlook to Ticket Booking

Habitually what happens is, whenever I go out of city I never look into the ticket and hotel bookings and the various other arrangements related to the trip. These arrangements are looked after by the other members of my family. But this time I was given this responsibility. I hardly had done this before, so it seemed a laborious job.

However, I was astonished to find out that the whole process was just a matter of few minutes. The other day I landed at the travel agents office and asked for four tickets to New York. I had expected that he would keep me waiting for hours but within 5min he handed me the air tickets as well as the hotel booking receipts and receipt of car hire. I could not stop myself from asking the person on the other side of the desk that how did it happen so fast. He very politely replied that it was because of their new setup of office and tour operator software that they had recently started using. He was pleased at using the software as that had increased the work efficiency of their company employees. He informed me that people could book their tickets or arrange for their complete trip right over the phone. For this purpose they were using tour operator reservation system.

My visit to the tour operator has made me informatively rich. It was not that I was not aware about the new developments in software or in the field of computers. Yet it was my first experience of the travel software. This visit of mine to the travel agent shall always stay embedded. Hence I have promised myself to arrange for my trips all on my own.
