Dumbfounded by Software

The other day I came across one of my school friends at the market place. She kept on insisting me to accompany her to her residence which was close by. I could not refuse her so I joined her. She welcomed me to her cozy apartment and offered me fresh orange juice. Suddenly a buzzing sound drew my attention.

I enquired about the sound and she said ‘come on dear, it is my computer. It is reminding me that there are no apples in the refrigerator’. I was dumbfounded to know that she had software for her home management. This software managed her home very efficiently and informed her in advance about what things to buy for her home or which area needs attention. After this software was installed she does not have to worry about the errands of home and she can attend to her family and work in a better way.

I was taken aback by the kind of assistance software could provide to make one’s life easy.

My Outlook to Ticket Booking

Habitually what happens is, whenever I go out of city I never look into the ticket and hotel bookings and the various other arrangements related to the trip. These arrangements are looked after by the other members of my family. But this time I was given this responsibility. I hardly had done this before, so it seemed a laborious job.

However, I was astonished to find out that the whole process was just a matter of few minutes. The other day I landed at the travel agents office and asked for four tickets to New York. I had expected that he would keep me waiting for hours but within 5min he handed me the air tickets as well as the hotel booking receipts and receipt of car hire. I could not stop myself from asking the person on the other side of the desk that how did it happen so fast. He very politely replied that it was because of their new setup of office and tour operator software that they had recently started using. He was pleased at using the software as that had increased the work efficiency of their company employees. He informed me that people could book their tickets or arrange for their complete trip right over the phone. For this purpose they were using tour operator reservation system.

My visit to the tour operator has made me informatively rich. It was not that I was not aware about the new developments in software or in the field of computers. Yet it was my first experience of the travel software. This visit of mine to the travel agent shall always stay embedded. Hence I have promised myself to arrange for my trips all on my own.

My Gratitude to Hard Workers

Iam not very good at the technical aspects of anything. In order to keep one self-updated and well-informed one has to have some knowledge of hardware, software, the latest electrical goods and the new equipments that keep flooding the market everyday. These things are well adopted and comfortably used by me and have made my life more convenient and hassle free. In the modern lifestyle I have to attend numerous things in a day like home, office, relatives, friends and many more. In order to pay equal attention to everything these latest goods help me.

Just like refrigerator, washing-machine, dish washer, mixer grinder, microwave, vacuum cleaner etc help to run my home smoothly similarly a computer, various software, scanner, printer, Xerox machine, fax machine etc make my work place run without any bug. The computer all alone takes care of many things. It helps to organize and keep detailed record of data in a systematic manner. It helps both at office and home management. The various types of latest quality software are just a few to mention.

I in fact thank people who have contributed and worked hard in the development of these goods. It is only because of them that I have been thriving in attending to all my duties and errands of life.
